We’ve had a busy weekend! Finally got new lights in the shop, so we can go back to building and we also did some wakesurfing. We’ll get those pictures and video posted this week. While we were waiting for the wind to die down here in NorCal we went by the new Supreme Boats web site, you can see our Supreme V226 and James Walker splashed all over!
We’re really liking the wake on our Supreme v226, we’ve been adding an extra 120 pounds of lead in the very back rear corner under our custom sac and like the resultant wake. So often with boats when you start adding weight the wake becomes steep and the transition is lost. Effectively making the wake very limiting at that point. The Supreme V226 doesn’t require ridiculous amounts of weight to create a great surf wake so it still has a usable transition. You’ll no doubt remember seeing the video of the Flyboy Wakesurf board being surfed in the ocean and remember that wave. Ocean waves have amazing transitions, boats that require multiple tons of ballast to throw a surf wake typically lose that transition. As we’ve mentioned before the Supreme V226 throws a great wake with around 2,000 pounds of people and ballast TOTAL. Here’s a picture of James Walker wakesurfing the wake of our Supreme V226 so you can see for yourself. Now, the camera angle is a bit weird being off to the side, but you can see it’s got a solid lip AND a great transition, along with good height.
Thanks for letting us plug our sponsor!
